I recently started an online course called Tribe Writers by Jeff Goins. As a part of that course, I’m also completing his other course titled, Intentional Blog. I’ve learned so many things about blogging. So I wanted to take time and share with you, why I blog.
When I started I wasn’t completely sure what I wanted to do. As a fiction writer I wanted a place to share my writing, but I also didn’t want it to just be about fiction. I wanted to encourage people. So I started with devotional posts. As time went on I threw in a few of my fiction stories as well. Then I added in another twist. I started doing interviews with other Christian creatives. I find a lot of enjoyment in interviewing authors, bloggers, and christian musicians.
My tagline is “I write in the dark, to bring faith to light” and that is my goal. I came up with that because I literally love to write in complete darkness. I write about faith, so it made sense to me. I want this to be a place where you can come and be encouraged. A place where you can find music, a book or another blog that speaks to you. I’m going to be real. It may get ugly at times. The truth often is. I think you can look back over my posts and see that I don’t have a problem sharing my heart and opening up. I want to keep that. In doing that, I want you guys to participate more! If a blog posts strikes a chord with you, I’d love for you to share your thoughts in the comments, and share the post! This ride is going to be fun. I look forward to bringing you the very best content that I can bring.
If you are a Christian blogger, author, singer, songwriter or artist I’d love to work with you! Contact me and we’ll talk! Besides encouraging people my other passion is to promote those who work for the Kingdom of God. I look forward to working with you.
In closing, my hope is that you’ll see a new excitement in my writing. I’m learning and growing. I’ve got another interview coming soon. I’ll be having more devotionals as well. Be sure to give me feedback. If you like what I’m doing, use the contact me form! I love to hear from you guys.
With that, I’ll sign off for now. God bless you!
