What’s Next?

Since I finished Bryan’s Journey I’ve been excited to start my new project.  At first I had planned one book, but it’s turning out to be a trilogy.  I’m very excited about that.  I’ve plotted 2 1/2 of the books so far.  I’m working on the ending now.  I’m not used to plotting.  I normally just fly by the seat of my pants.  I have plotted before, but nothing this detailed.  In the past my attempts at using a plot were always foiled by characters hijacking me and forcing me to write what they wanted.

While I’m a little frightened that a plan may stifle the creativity, I’m going to at least try it.  I just don’t want all this prep work to be in vain.  I’ve got big plans for this series.  I’m determined to make this my best work to date.  In the past I’ve self published, but I’m working toward traditional publishing this time.  I’m going to pull out all the stops.

A little secret before I go.  I tend to procrastinate the start of a new book because I’m afraid it’s going to be worse than two squirrels fighting over the last nut at the end of winter.  This time I’ve put way more pressure on myself, so you can expect me to post updates.  I’ll likely be moaning and groaning about how horrible it is, or how I can’t stick to the plan.  Just bear with me.  Y’all just keep coming back and staying informed.  I promise it will be worth it.  I’ll try to keep me and you both laughing about it.
