Trust in God

Christian God

I’m sure most of us have faced or are currently facing circumstances that seem overwhelming.  Sometimes we find ourselves standing on the shore afraid to step out into the waters of uncertainty.

Truth is, we like to have control.  We like to KNOW what’s going to happen next.  Life isn’t like that.  We don’t know what may come.  We can be overwhelmed at any minute.

The one thing that remains constant is God.  He’s never changing.  Hebrews 13:8 says:

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”

Since we know that he’s unchanging, we can place our trust in him.  When the unforseen arises, he’s there.  Every morning, he’s there.  Whether we feel him or not, he’s still there.  The picture in this post is some of the words of a song that I love.  You Make Me Brave by Bethel Church.  It talks about how he makes us brave.  He calls us out from the shore into the waves.

He wants us to trust him enough to follow him wherever he leads.  Step out into the waves.  He will be waiting in the waves of life.  The song also says, No fear can hinder now, the promises you’ve made!  Take hold of the never changing hand of God and his promises for you.  Do not be afraid.  He will be with you through everything.  Corey Ten Boom said, “No pit is so deep that God is not deeper still.”

Do not be afraid to walk out into the waters of uncertainty.  You never know what God has waiting on you!  Some of your biggest blessings come through the greatest trials.  Do not give up!  Your Father knows you and he loves you.  He has not left you alone and he will make you brave.  He’ll give you the courage to walk through the waves!
