Sometimes we go through things we don’t understand. Things that will never make sense to us here on this earth. I bet right now there are things going through your mind, you’re thinking about those things in your own life.
I have plenty of those things. When these things come into our life they bring a thick cloud of darkness around us. It makes it almost impossible to see any kind of hope at all. However, just because we can’t see the hope, doesn’t mean it’s not there. In the darkness Jesus shines. The darker it gets, the brighter he shines. No matter what happens, good or bad, He is still in control. If we only knew how structured and in control things were!
I know its hard. I know that it feels like the world is caving in on you. I know the darkness is scary. You don’t have to stumble around in that darkness. Stop. Open your eyes and look for the light. He’s there. No, things may not turn out how you plan. Things may seem to get worse. That doesn’t change his love for you. It doesn’t change the fact that he’s in ultimate control.
The weight that is lifted from your shoulders when you let go is amazing. I can’t sit here and tell you it’s easy. It’s not. It’s a process. It took me a long time to figure it out. Do I still worry? Yes from time to time. Do I still try to figure things out? Yes, quite often. The difference now is that I know who is in control and I know he has my best interest at heart. I’m in the palm of His hand and there is no better place to be.
You’re in the palm of his hand! Can you think of a better place to be? Stop. Take a breath. You know how at night things always seem to be worse than what they really are? The thing that you’re going through right now that’s brought darkness all around you, is no different. Get in the light and you’ll see that it’s not as bad as you think it is. Again, it may not be what you want, but God will give you strength for what you are going through.
No one can convince me that he’s not real. He’s been more real to me than anyone or anything. He’ll be that real for you too. Give him a chance.
