Revelation 21:4

Last week I lost my Dad.  He was a Christian.  I know where he went.  I can’t tell you how much I look forward to the day when we get to be together again.  Not just him, but many other loved ones who have went on Home.

Let me share with you what the Bible says in Revelation 21.

21:1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.

Every time someone wants me to sign a book for them I add Rev. 21:4 under my name.  Why?  Read it!  Let is soak in.

What a promise we have!  He will wipe away EVERY tear.  There will be no more death.  No more sorrow. No more sickness!  We’ll be with HIM forever.  Yes, we’ll get to see our loved ones who were saved, but even more importantly…we’ll be with HIM.  The one who made it possible.  Jesus!  I can’t wait to bow down before him.  I want to kiss His feet.  I want to talk to Him for a million years.  I want to just be with HIM.

That’s what my Dad is doing now.  He’s with HIM!  The one who paid the price for him.  The one who saved him.  Yes we miss him here, but who would bring someone back from the glorious place he’s experiencing.

If you’ve lost a loved one draw comfort from the One who will one day wipe all those tears away.  If you’re not saved, why wait?  Ask him into your heart today.  If you need someone to talk with you about it, contact me.
